Over the past two summers I have volunteered for Camp Winnebago at the YMCA in Rockford. I have had a lot of fun over the past two years and I have learned a lot about different kids. At the camp I was known as an Apprentice Counselor (A.C.) and I had various responsibilities. The main responsibility I had was to care for the kids at the camp. I cared for kids ranging from first to sixth grade. While at the camp I learned that it takes a lot of mental strength to deal with a lot of kids at once. I think that this will prove to be valuable in the field that I am going into because it proves that I can care for people other than myself and that I can still perform what is required of me even if under pressure.
